  On October 13, 12-year-old Dillon Burrell won the national Police Athletic League boxing championship in Toledo at the 114-pound weight class. Dillon has won three titles this year. East Tech Student Raises GPA, Gets College Scholarship

East Tech High School senior Jimmy Horton signed a letter of intent May 17 to continue his education and play basketball at Ohio Christian University.  OCU is a private Christian university just south of Columbus. Horton helped lead East Tech to a 16-7 record under the direction of head coach Brett Moore.  The Golden Scarabs finished the season ranked 23rd in a poll by The Plain Dealer.
